The DFCT emblem was created in 1992 (B.E. 2535) and carries the following meanings:
- A snake coiled around a torch represents medical/dental education
- “Tanto Settho” means “one who is well-trained is excellent”
- The year B.E. 2526 (1983) is the founding year of DFCT
- The Suttha Sinobol lotus flower represents the dental profession
In 2007 (B.E. 2550), the DFCT regulations were revised, and the English name of DFCT was changed from “Thai Dental Faculties Board” to “Dental Faculty Consortium of Thailand.”
